First week of June, finally we made it to Yosemite.
Although it’s always lovelier and easier in my head. Vacationing with the kids is no easy task. But we managed and we had fun.
On our way there we left super early. So the kids slept the entire trip which from down south took us about 6-7 hours.
I believe I woke up at 3:30 am and we were off by 4am.
The previous night I had already placed all of our bags in the car so it would be quick and easy in the morning.
Landon gets super car sick every time we go up winding roads. So we were lucky that he slept thought the drive there. Unfortunately on our trip home we left way later. Around noon, and both kids were awake. Meadow cried a lot! And Landon did end up getting sick. More than a few stops later and emptying his stomach, we finally got down the mountain.
The Mist Trail was definitely our favorite. It was a little scary because I had Meadow strapped in my carrier and Landon was hyper as always. But we managed to go pretty far up.
We decided to stop because it was getting a lot more wet and potentially more slippery and dangerous to go up with baby and a hyper jumpy Landon. But we made it pretty far up and we got to see the rainbow and feel the mist. Ah… I hope to do this hike again someday when the kids are older. 🙂
We stayed in Curry Village. The same heated tents where they had an outbreak of Hantavirus a few years ago. Ummm it was nice and all but the fear in my head was real!
Well were all alive, no deadly disease to find here. Thank you nature!
